The Big Smoke

I spent the weekend with a hot babe in Toronto . The hottie is my daughter Robin and we did the town. Toronto is an amazing city with lots to cram into a day.  Her house is in an area called Little India so we went for an amazing early dinner at a Indian restaurant and then a show. I haven't been to a show in a decade. The Hunger Games-Catching Fire. Great thriller and now I have to see the sequel. Morning had us at the Mad Dog Cafe for our favourite meal of all times- breaky. She is a veggie but me I need my bacon. Man it was good! We then went paint shopping as she is repainting her house. God, paint shopping with a woman is torture! Then she has a membership to the AGO Art Gallery of Ontario so we went to see the The Great Upheaval- Masterpieces of the Guggenheim Collection. Man talk about being able to name drop about your collection- Picasso, Gaugin, Chavall, Franz, etc, etc

and my favourite Kandinsky. Here is a pic of The Yellow Cow by Marc Franz. It is a wedding photo- the yellow representing femininity and the blue mountains are him.

Sounds like a great weekend. Especially if you didn't have to stay and paint.
