Kickin' the ass of Jesus

I bit the bullet and signed up for Apple Music. Last December I bought a Smart TV and got Netflix thinking it would be good company for me in the lonely nights of winter. To be honest I’m really not a TV guy. I like books and music. There were some good TV shows to be sure but the next day I had no good lines, no good stories and nothing I could offer you my faithful readers. Spending two or more hours in front of the boob tube is not for me.
Apple Music is amazing as I have listened to music I would have been to cheap to download and try out. I can listen and do other stuff too.  This is the perfect compliment to a studio. I don’t know how Apple figured out I have passion for free wheeling renegades and poetic outlaws but the first recommendation was Outlaw Country.
Check out the words to  these two songs. Man I wish I could write like this!

Well, I was drunk the day my mom got out of prison
And I went to pick her up in the rain
But before I could get to the station in my pickup truck
she got run ned over by a damned old train. Steve Goodman the perfect country song.

Or how about?

She left me for Jesus and that just ain’t fair
She says that he’s perfect, how could I compare
She says I should find him and I’ll know peace at last
If I ever find Jesus, I’m kickin’ his ass.----Hayes Carll

The written word is my love. It is all started with my Uncle Jimmie who paid my wages in the Pottery with any book I wanted. No cash just books. Look at what it did for me!

I thought I would show you a bit of the blood of Jesus from the wood kiln today. I always liked the line from potter Sandy Simon- I like porcelain because my blood shows up so well on it.

Apple music is the only thing that keeps me sane in my university office.

Talk about jagged edges! Got to put a disclaimer on a piece like that!

I think these are insanely gorgeous. PS - we have a radio station around here called KPIG, pretty sure you'd love it - cowboys, renegades, strong song writers...I think they charge for their online Stream though.
