Bad is good

Covid has been bad for many. I have to shamefully admit it has been good for me. I have found the importance of my health, connecting with my friends and the enjoyment of small things like the flowers in my garden. Christine phoned me and said you want to go kayaking on the Grande River? I said oh ya! Pre Covid I would have said no I have pots to make. A day later Amber phoned and said you want to come for a bike ride, make some pots and go out for tequila and tacos? A year previous I would have said no I have a kiln load to glaze for. Tomorrow I head out with my buddy Big John XL to our Nations Capital -Ottawa to ride for a couple of days and meet up with a gaggle of pottery buds- Jen Drysdale, Chandler Swain, Genieve Patchell, Shirley Clifford, Ron Roy and Liz Willoughby. Covid has me turn down the career burner and turn up the health, friends and family burner. Bad is good.

Never turn down a good idea, but never take a bad idea. And meditate. It’s very important to experience that Self, that pure consciousness. It’s really helped me. So start diving within, enlivening that bliss consciousness. Grow in happiness and intuition. Experience the joy of doing. And you’ll glow in this peaceful way. Your friends will be very, very happy with you. Everyone will want to sit next to you. And people will give you money!

Never turn down a sure thing.

Never turn down a good thing.

People should never turn down sex or the opportunity to appear on television.

There are two things you never turn down: sex and appearing on television.

So wise I include it twice.
