Well the days start getting longer now and as George Harrison sang it's going to be a long cold lonely winter. Ontario goes into lockdown on December 26th which is Canadian Boxing Day when the stores are mobbed with customers looking for deals. Our Premier is taking some grief for not locking down now. He is between a rock and a hard place. Most retailers do a lion's share of their business during the month of December. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
I've been squirreling my nuts away figuring on a long cold lonely winter. Can't see my amazing kids and grand kids, no friends over for Christmas cheer. I stocked up on meat from Aunt Nancy and Uncle Donny and I bought a bunch of root vegetables that will keep well over time. My gas kiln in the garage is my winter freezer as I don't own one.
I visited my long time buddy Frank Tucker and stocked up on clay and replenished some glaze materials. I'm counting on my Art to save me.
My days are going to continue with bike rides as long as I am able. I will make pots at a reduced pace and I will step up my winter reading. I will talk to myself when I feel in need of intelligent conversation.
I'm not stupid enough to go buy an animal to keep me company. The sun is going to shine again and I will be travelling and doing what I love to do- share the gospel of Clennell where he is the source, the creator, the service and usaully most of the congregation.
