Colour Anarchy

With this shut in of COVID the mailbox is the source of your greatest daily joy and when it's empty such a disappointment. This morning such a lovely surprise from my buddy Heather Smit aka The Handbuilder. Heather sent me these perfectly rad neon biking socks and Kent McLauglin brushes to match. I put all this together on my bed covered in biking attire and I feel like a colour anarchist. The colours I allow myself to wear makes me feel like a Newfoundland quilt. My little grand daughter Ju-ju is a colour anarchist. Who is learning from who? Heather has suprised me on several occassions with her thoughfulness and love. Once after a firing she hung one of her scoops in my bathroom. About 2 weeks later my daughter was visiting and said "Hey Dad, when did ya get the awesome scoop by Heather?" What scoop was my answer? The firing crew had been laughing for weeks that I must sit on the throne and read my phone. Ha. I read everything else- toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo bottles but not my phone. After another firing she hung an axe and chainsaw in my hall. Once again two weeks later Robin visits and says "Dad, when did you get this awesome framed axe and chainsaw?" This time I answered " Well, that little Smit did it again!" So this was this weeks horoscope. "Aries, because the coming weeks will be a favorable time to honor and celebrate the marvelously rich stories of your own life—and to feel gratitude for the full range of experience with which they have blessed you." Dear Horoscope: I don't need a couple of weeks to think about it. I am blessed with such loving and wonderful friends. I am the richest man in my house. Hey Heather I dare ya to put together colours on your pots to equal that Fogo Island green and corral coloured gravel bike you just bought. Double dare, ya! Lid up and let's do a ride.
