Selfies

There are people that like posting pics of themselves and probably live in houses full of their own work. I've always been suspicous of people that surround themselves with themselves. I really can't imagine a house full of Tony Clennell talking to himself. My house is full of friends work. I spend most of the day with me and my work so it is such a pleasure to spend time with the works of my friends.
Here are a couple of pots from the last firing. I like them but don't want to live with them. I hope they go off to good homes that will love them. My home is full of the love of all the mudslingers I have met and loved. I think the best students and the best potters I have ever met have houses full of amazing work of other potters than themselves. It's not selfish, it's not a selfie, it's called appreciation of what turns your aesthetic crank. Sometimes when your well runs dry you have food for fodder right there in your livingroom, your bathroom, your bedroom, your hallway and yes in your cupboards. Support your local potter and it's not you!

Yes!
I use some of my seconds, but others remind me of my friends and those I respect and admire...like a small John Leach baking dish and corked jar...
