Potters Tools

Here is a small sampling of David's tools here at Claykitchenportugal. This sampling doesn't include his pug mills, his ball mills, his 15 wheels, his train kiln, his 3 gas kilns and the assorted other must haves. Every potter needs a pick up, a fork lift, a wood splitter, a Husky chainsaw, a drill press, a band saw, but the most important tool a potter needs is a hammer. Not all that we make is worthy of keeping and editing is an important part of the process. My life as a potter now includes a life outside of pottery and so I have included a bike that David has so graciously provided me with. It is an E-bike that started me on my bike fetish some 2 years ago. He took me on a trip today in deep sand that was really tuff and without electric assist I would have given up. Portugal is magical. It is heaven on earth. I think civilization must have started here. Tomorrow I go for a haircut/shave and sauna. At home a haircut is $20 and 3 minutes in the chair. I wonder what tommorrow brings of all the potters tools sometimes the hammer is a potters best friend. ?
