View from the throne.

Last week we had an amazing course by an amazing teacher Heather Smit. Heather was my house guest here at The Cactus Lounge and she was an absolute pleasure to hang with. Very easy going, low maintenance, witty and lots of fun.
She arrived with a nice gift of one of her cups, coffee filter holder, coffee, filters, wine and tequila. Gotta love this woman.
Today I had the gang  that are taking Jen Allen's course over to look at my collection of jugs, plates and cups. Jen Drysdale told everyone to go look in the museum of my bathroom. She said that I should look too. There hanging on the wall was one of Heather's scoops. I have wanted one ever since I saw them a year or so ago at Shane Norrie Contemporary.
I haven't really had much time to sit on the throne and just look around so there it has been unnoticed since Saturday. My excuse is that my house is so visually interesting the scoop went undetected.
Heather you are a treasure.  A very sweet and sneaky gesture.
a frog from a blind man in China, a hakeme brush from Peter's Valley
and a gift from Heather Smit.

Thank you very much. I love it! Some people are just classy. They live their life generously which is the one piece of advice my Uncle Jimmie gave me as a young man. Potters should live their lives generously.
Heather I am a HUGE fan of your work and even more so now that I know what you are made of.
