More is more! Mississippi here I come!

It's been a long time since I've had a good salt firing. It probably dates back 40 years when the second chamber of the noborigama was the wood salt chamber. I used these slips way back when. I took the General Purpose White Slip Cone 4-12 from Robin Hopper's Book and super saturated the oxides. General Purpose White Slip 400 Ball 400 EPK 500 Nep Syn 600 Silica Here are the colour variation additions: Cockroach Yellow 30% rutile (yes you read right 30%) a beautiful opalescent yellow Mother in Law Blue- 1% colbalt, 2%RIO Dime Store White- 5% Zircopax Black-2% of each RIO,Cobalt Oxide, Manganese Dioide, and Copper Carb Mix 50/50 Blue and yellow and you get green. Cross the blue over the yellow and you get green. Variations are endless.Cross the white over the blue and you get a light blue, Black over the yellow and you get a deep green and it goes on and on. Surprises are endless. My pal and fellow potter Brian Nettles and I are offering a wood fired salt glaze potters workshop at his amazing studio in Pass Christian, Mississippi forty minutes from New Orleans. Brian has developed his own amazing colour palette for salt so between the two of us we should be able to knock your socks off.
