Beauty and the Beast

I am thrilled to be in a one day pop up show Saturday November 19th
at Potter's Creek Studio in Normandale (Turkey Point) Ontario. This is the beautiful property and studio of my former student and friend Amber Zuber. Janet MacPherson also a former Sheridan student will complete the threesome. Amber went on to the London College of Art to complete her MA in Ceramics and Janet went to Ohio State University to obtain her MFA. Surprise, surprise neither of them are pot makers. Oh well, I tried!!! This should be an interesting compilation of aesthetics. Amber is very much poke and prod. I can see that influence from me. Ambers work is mostly sculptural. Janet is playful and animated with moulded forms. I like work that makes you think WTF were they thinking? Both of these makers do that for me.
And then there is the beast!
Make a day of it. Tour the property that could put most botanical gardens to shame. Spend some time chatting with us and enjoying the Artwork. Just up the road is Burning Kiln Winery and The Adventure Center that has an amazing view of Long Point and serves up delicous dill pickle grilled cheese sandwiches and craft beer.

What do potters break for good luck?
Is it a leg for everyone, or just performers?
