the C word




One of my friends and second generation collector of our work sent me some pics of Pollack and Kadinsky paintings. If our current work is anything like these paintings I might be able to trade in my 2000 Subaru Outback with 325,000 clicks on it. Grass is retiring his second set of brushes and is giving them to Sheila and I. Look out capital A art the dirty C word "craft"  is sneaking up on ya. Thanx  Paul and Grass for adding zeros to the end of our price tag.

my brother in law, matt... is hugely inspired by kandinsky... for the free ceramics ware. kandinsky is super good. happy day after st. paddies, Tony. Last night I drank a good amount of irish whisky..and at some point between twirling the girls around the dance floor and slamming one down - i poured one out for you, old bull. all the best, bfree.

I don't know why 'artists' are so snarky about craft. It's only since the renaissance that artists became separate from craft. Personally, I refuse to differentiate. We are all makers of artifacts.

Personally I look to Matisse for inspiration and anything else that comes down the pike.

Go for it.especially Matisse. It was really weird last week coming home from Niagara, full of food and good wine, and no pottery at Sour Cherry--they have gone together so well! I know it is much weirder for you--embrace the colour.

325k!!!! Wow! I think you could be an advertisement for Suburu. You lucky dog! Grasses brushes. Those brushes are no longer available. I am sure you know that. I like your new work and where it is headed. Camille and I were in the Art Institute of Chicago and I had my head buzzing with thoughts of clay after viewing De Kooning, Klee, and Kadinsky.
