A SHOUT OUT!

Being a 21st century guy I am at the wood kiln using my I-Phone connect to Wifi on my computer so I can do this post to the blog. I want to give a big shout out to the Hamilton Potters Guild to which I am a proud member. This building and wood kiln were financed by the guild in excess of $30,000 to further wood fire education amongst guild members. The Guild is also paying me a monthly stipend to offer a wood fire mentor ship to 8 members of the guild. The applications for this mentor ship will be available later this month. This is both a privilege and a responsibility that I take very seriously. The mentor ship culminates in January of 2016 with a show at the Carnegie Gallery in Dundas, Ontario. We will be firing in 3- 4 different kilns, an anagama, the Pinecroft bourry box , the HPG manibigama and another to be decided upon. I want this show to be absolutely "KILLER"! Hundreds of hours will go into this show so I will be a tuff task master.
