Alabama Pines

I moved into this room, if you could call it that, a week ago.
I never do what I'm supposed to do.
Somebody take me home thru those Alabama pines.  Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit.

It was about a week ago I went down in the workshop to try to find my mojo.
Feeling a sense of let down after such a busy time away.
I thought the ideas would be keeping me up all night long but I've been drawing blanks.
Then on Monday this week a surprise package arrived from my Alabama buddy Stanley Hurst.
I told him at NCECA I was using his roller but had to double up the coils to get one big enough. Go big or go home is my motto. Size matters and all that stuff.
So Stanley being a good man made one bigger especially for me outta Alabama pine.  I love it because  I now use the little one inside of the bigger one. I am afraid with the size of these handles the bowl may warp so I put 4 on to have it warp evenly. http://www.meccapotterytools.com/product-gallery/ If ya want one just ask Stanley for the Smokie Big Boy.
We unload Cassius Clay tomorrow and then I have two workshops this weekend. God, knows when I'll ever get back to my work.  Going in to see about hand surgery next week so maybe that is what is on my mind.
Thanks Stanley for the bit of a kick in the arse.
