What ya doing?
It doesn't matter what everyone else is doing. It matters what you are doing!
In 1894 a
British newspaper reported that the streets of London would be covered in 9
feet of horse ca-ca. Everyone was either riding a horse or being pulled in a
carriage by one. Then something unbelievable happened- the car! While I’m
waiting to see what’s coming to clean up after the car I’ve decided I need to
kick in a bit. Today while my mind wandered working on Quickbooks I’ve decided #1 I’m
going to give up buying lettuce. I throw out more than I eat. It is also 97%
water and as far as I can tell has no real nutrition. No more rabbit food for this rabbit. #2
I ain’t going to use my Tassimo one shot coffee maker no mo! I got lazy this
past year and got in the habit of using this most wasteful way of making my
morning Jo. First you cut off the aluminum foil, then your rip into 3 cardboard
boxes containing your 12 plastic containers of coffee. I was disgusted with
myself when I looked at my blue box and saw all that waste for 12 cups of
coffee. I also wasn’t using some of my favourite cups cause they were too small
for the quantiies delivered by the machine. Robin bought me a Aeropress coffee maker and 3
pounds of great coffee that I am grinding fresh and enjoying so much more in my
favourite wee cups. See this book keeping is having a positive impact on me. It’s
easier to save money than make money.

I have one big coffee in the morning in a winter tea bowl: enough grounds for a normal pot of coffee, but only enough water to fill the tea bowl. Learned this at the monastery, to reduce "pee breaks.". At this strength, generic is good enough, made in a drip machine. Worms in the compost enjoy the grounds and the paper adds fiber.
