I have talked about how each person has their own job. This morning's bike ride took me up a alley of tacky wares. Here someone has done the painting of these hideous figures and is sending them by hand taxi to a kiln to be fired. This guy sat on his wee chair and dip glazed the figurines for the potter next door. People have talked about the skill of tap centering a bat. At this pottery the boys were tap centering these five foot bats with their left foot so that they could throw the table tops. Look at how beautiful the carving is on the rim of the table. Looks like he had a good days throwing under his belt.
Here is a selection of hand forged tools mostly for use in the potteries. If you want a handle on one you go down the alley to the guy that makes the handles. Everyone has a their own special skill.
