They ain't makin' me no mo"!

Here's  two for the road. I'm off for a week to do some production throwing for some potters that have a bigger demand than supply. They ain't makin' us 100+ pot a day men no mo. I'm making this a busman's holiday in a great city with some pottery friends, some good meals, some nights out on the town and a whole lot of laughter. Life is good! Sometimes production is a good holiday from thinking about how to recreate yourself or do something new and brilliant.

Well, now you've given me an alternative way to look at the production work I'm doing.....for someone else!

You're a Prince among potters.

Will they be asking you to do the wedging? Have a great time anyway!
my friend Mike at 'the wheel' stoneware north of San diego does a similar thing. he has one amazing production potter, but when big orders come in , he brings in a few potters from the area, who do their own work and are now the old lions in the savanna,to throw pots for him..it works out great for everyone!!!
